America's New Chapter

In the article "The New Faces Of America" by Veronica Majerol talks about how the increase of Hispanic's and Latino's would become a problem to America in our future years. Estimates say by time 2050, the increase of Hispanic's and Latino's will double, "Transformation from a mostly white baby-boomer culture to the more globalized than country that we are becoming." The Census Buneau consider Hispanic's an ethnicity, not a race. The country' s changing demographics have also put on the two major political parties to address issues of concern to minorities especially Latino's. will this effect the world we will live in, in the future? The number of mixed-race marriages -and, as a result, mixed-race children- is on the rise. in conclusion , i think the enviroment will change because the Latino's will have more say so over us because they are a bigger group.

Civil War in Syria

In the article "Civil War in Syria Raises Questions About When To Intervene" by Ja'anai Delaney talks about how Syria is going at about being free from Basher al-Assad but need the help from the United states.
"A lot of [people are trying to figure out what could be an effective intervention that would cause death an suffering", said U.S Secretary of state Hilary Clinton. Syria wants the united states to intervene with the war but "chemical and biological weapons that they say would only be used against foreign invasions not its own people."The U.S will only intervene if he uses chemical weapons. Assad has blamed foreign actors and terrorists for the initial uprising , and continued violence

The United States have been involved in a lot of things, that didn't work out to well but i think they should help Syria people because there people just like us and if it was flipped where's tho we was in trouble, we would want them to help us.

More playing, less teaching

In this article "All work and no play: Why your kids are more anxious, depressed" by Esther Entin tells how she think kids nowadays are not having enough play and in their life and its effecting there after-life as adults. Since 1955… children free play has been continually declining at least partly because adults have exerted ever-increasing control over children’s activities,” Peter Gray said.  The parents restricted their own children’s outdoor play because of safety concerns, a fact echoed in other surveys where parents mentioned child predators, road traffic and bullies. There are 5 ways play benefits kids. One way is that playing gives children a chance to find and develop a connection to their own self-identity, meaning that the child gets a chance to find their inner self and learn more about themselves. A second ways is that the child learns how to make decisions, solve problems, exert self-control, and follow rules, meaning help them develop an independent theme with their self, learn how to get out of problems without help from an adult. A third way is children learn how to handle their emotion, including anger and fear, meaning learning as sense of self control. A forth way is it can help kids make friends and learn to get along with each other as equals, meaning learning a friendship with their pears. The last way is playing is a source of happiness, meaning we are not here to go to college, life is a fun and play is a part of fun. In conclusion, I think play should become more of a thing to kids because life to me is short and kids love to have fun. Being independent is something that life in the future you going to have to face, a pear is not going to always be there to help, you have to do things on your own.

less schools means more money

In his article "Philadelphia superintendent identifies schools he intends to close" by Kristen A. Graham tells how the superintendent wants to shut down school to save money and raise our academics. 22 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 11 high schools are being shut down.7, 000 students and 2,000 staff will be affected due to this move. $300 million dollars are borrowed a year on schools just paying bills and paychecks for the staff. "If we don't take action now, we actually have no money to spend" said Hite. $28 million dollars are being saved by shutting down these 27 schools. Saving on utility bills, paying staff and there able to sell these building for to other properties. Some officials ""believe very strong that our public-school system is an institution worth saving." K-8 schools use space more effectively, and parents told the districts they prefer that model. Some schools like Strawberry Mansion high school students will be the third time switching schools in three years. There environment has been changed frequently every year. Mayor Nutter thinks “it will mean safer, better-equipped schools capable of meeting the educational needs of the schoolchildren.” Conclusion I think that combining this school together would make more violence and the superintendence are being selfish and greeting thinking about money. Switching schools can lead to more transportation for students and that’s paying more money for Tran’s passes so either way it’s a lose, lose situation.
