Young killer terrorest

In the article "How teens become terrorists: column" by Russell Razzaque tells how the lack of a relationship and environment teens grow up can damage a teens life and have them become a terrorist. Teens think there the victim and try to get everyone to see their point of view. Not having a good relationship with your same sex parent makes them feel like they are the reason for it. Also having a social life with like a peer can be a condition too, that’s where the victim comes in. Mohammed Atta, the terrorist of the bombers was 18 years; terrorist trait came from him being on lock down so much. His dad used to time him from school and home and any minute or second late, he will get beat. His whole life was depended on work and progress. As kids grow up, the environment with the terrorists seems like the okay for them. They have to choose between evil and good. Sycologically, if you see the world as a threat to you, then you going to threaten them back in reality. Like I said earlier, they want you to make you see things in their eyes. In conclusion, terrorist don’t just come about when you wake up the next morning, it grows with you, inside and out. Things don’t to you in the past can ruin your future

North vs South

In the article Korean War Part 2?” tells how in Korean 60 years ago there was a big civil war after World War II against the North and South Korean which lead to the South Korean being a democracy , protected by the U.S and the North was ruled by one family. The South and the north signed a peace treaty but the North Korean is a very poor, starving and have a tight controlled population. One the other hand, the South Korean is very wealthy like with technology, the 12th riches country. A new family has come into North Korean to rule and now trying to threaten the Southern part of Korean with nuclear weapons. “South Korean says the North’s threats are intended to strengthen Kim’s leadership at home and put pressure on the U.S and South Korean to return to negotiation over North Korean nuclear program.” Kim Jong Um is trying to wipe out the South to prove to his people how powerful he is. President Park Geun-hye of the South Korean try’s says if the South is attack , she will retaliate back but she try’s to build a since of trust with the North Koreans. In conclusion, I think the South should help the North because there both apart of Korean but on the other hand there asking for help in the right way. If someone was threating me I wouldn’t help them, but I sure wouldn’t want to keep going at war with them.

minimum wage life

In the article "Time for a raise" by Patricia Smith tells how some people are for the raise of income from $7.25 to $9 because of the inflation increase due to President Obama but others disagree with the for there own reasons. "Would raising the minimum wage make it too expensive to hire workers?" People agree with President Obama to raise the cost of income because the income haven't been raised since 2009, they feel that its about that time. Raising the wage can help people especially low-income workers. People are still working as hard but is still getting poor because of how inflation is going up and people pay checks should too. The raise can make a difference between “ grocery or the food bank, rent or eviction, scraping by or finally getting ahead”. Back in the 1938, the lowest income was 25 cent. On the other  hand, people think that raising the low income is bad suggestion. The raise can stop people from getting hired. If a business isn’t doing to well, that could hurt peoples hours and pay checks. It can also hurt the young starters out in there careers. In conclusion, raising the income of low wage to  me is a good idea, if you put more money in peoples pockets , the more they will spend. Its kinda like recycling you money. Helping people is something that Obama wants to do, and raising the income can do that.

                       Witnessed
I Witnessed no food,
I Witnessed dead bodies being throw out,
I Witnessed life of snow,
I Witnessed dozens of men fought over crumbs,
I Witnessed violent men kill for crust of bread,
I Witnessed trampling men at battle, struggling, crying, nobody cared.

I Witnessed dead bodies,
I Witnessed moaning,
I Witnessed death of freeze,
I Witnessed two hands on my throat , strangle me,
I witnessed the dead of both my parents,
I Witnessed weak, lose faith, a journey, the end

i chose this book to do the poem because it actually had a lot of description and feeling to the words well meaning of the book. The poems tells the things a boy had to see during his journey to death.
It was kinda fun and easy because all you doing taking words and putting them together to make a feeling  or meaning. I think it was worth it cause most people words are strong and you would like to use them yourself but in a different meaning.

Woman's War

In the article " Sisters in Arms " by James Dao tells how over the years , people have been lowering the rights that a woman can be a combat in the army wars such as Afghanistan and Iraq. More woman should be allowed the equal rights of a man to serve  there country as a leader. Just like as a man. “If the best shot in the platoon is a woman, I an make her a sniper” this quote tells how woman have the same ability as a man , we just have different genders. If they was to” let the woman into Navy Seals there will be an open fro more the 200,000 jobs for women”. This article reminds me of the time I went to work with my dad and my brother and he payed me less because i was a girl but i did the same work as he did.

Calling for help

In the article "Slaughter of the African Elephants" by Samantha Strindberg and Fiona Maisels tells how the people are killing elephants because of the more demands and price that go up for there Ivory ( Tusks) that are used as accessories and sculptures in stores. The author compares the elephant and its child to like us mother and child to show how a mothers will protect her child. People are killing elephants to make money, but they really are doing is hurting the environment. "62 percent vanished from Central America between 2002 and 2011" they have wild life guards in the forest to help protect the elephants but there's just not enough. Elephants are good to our nature, they eat fruit and there leaving leave help for the soil to grown plants that suck up the carbine oxide to help the air we breathe. Not only that , it helps other animals with the trail of fruits to eat. In conclusion , i think us people should get more guards out in the forest to help the elephants because they're a help to our environment and plus its a comparison to how a mother protects her child.

Harlem Shake Down

In the article “Surprise hit was a shock for artists heard on it” by James C. McKinley Jr tells about how the new upcoming artist Harry Bauer Rodrigues is being sewed by Hector Delgado and Jayson Musson for using their voice in his new song/dance “Harlem Shake.” Which had became a hit song which sold 816,000 digital downloads. “Both Musson and Mr. Delgado are seeking compensation from Mad Decent Records.”  For Jayson Musson ,a formal rapper from Philadelphia who voice was used to call out the key phrase “ Do the Harlem shake “ and  he wasn’t alone in this, Mr. Delgado voice is “clearly heard on “ Harlem Shake” too. Courts are saying even a little sample of a person music, the artist is in titled to royalties of any amount the request. “Mr. Delgado has yet to take legal action against the Philadelphia producers, whose remix was not a hit. Mr Gomez said” In conclusion , i think that Hector Delgado should have used there voice without permission but everyone is blowing outta proportion , he can just split his budget that he get on his record, and forget all about it , he's a new artist, give him his props.,

Pepsi Time

In the article "Celebrities for sale?" by Mark Bittman tells how some celebrities sale there name to company's that are no good. He argue’s how Beyonce Knowles sale her name to pepsi which has a high rate of calories that can cause weight gain. “ Knowles renting her image to a type of product that may one day rank with cigarettes as a killer we were too slow to rein in.” the pepsi company trys to get one of the most famous artist like Beyonce, who her and her husband is worth $775 million, to promote there line of soda which is not good for you. The pepsi company know how bad ithere soda is but doesnt care for the results. As Beyonce try to back up with pepsi skeem " As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity."  People claim that having a name behind pepsiCo "you are associating those positive atributes with a product that is quite literally sickening American's". In conclusion, pepsi should try and bribe people with there company by useing one of the things people love, knowing that its bad for them.

Cyberwar

In the article “Cyber War “by Patricia Smith tells how China and Iran are proceeding a cyberwar against the United States.  China’s hackers hacks our computer on a daily basic. There reason for there for intruding is “ Mostly, they try to steal corporate and Pentagon secrets rather than inflicting damages.” But in the since of Iran, there are “trying to do damage. Iran is trying to take off line the biggest banks, in which trying to stop the United States from there money. “James A Lewis says “The Iranians were faster in developing an attack capability and bolder in using it than we had expected.” The United states have also put on a cyberwar with Iran  in which is not local, no one tends to know. Both the U.S and Iran are in for attack against eachother using the cyber network which can help nuclear weapons. Many people were using machines like computers and/or drones, which are remote controlled air plains who run on satelite to located a location from the ground to bomb. In conclusion, i think the Iran and  U.S cyberwar need to stop, its going to effect everyone. " But the notion that you can carry out cyberwar and defeat the other guy without carrying out conventional war is absurb"

Love of Valentine Day

In the article “Historically Incorrect Canooding” by Stephanie Coontz talks about how the marriages we see nowadays is all getting divorced and worst but is the day we supposed to be romantic meant a lot of less than it does today, before. The valentine day holiday was made to decrease the sexual passion.” No one believed that falling in love was great and glorying thing that should lead to marriage.”  Love, passion, marriage was not an equal match back in the 1800’s; actually, valentine day was another holiday which was a festival honored to Juno “the Roman goddess of love and marriage." The church fathers would rather the holiday become a festival of Lupercalia, in which the men will draw a name from a jar and the woman they pick will be there sex partner for the rest of the year. The legend enforced the rule that the Roman soldiers will fight better if they didn’t have family ties. Pope Gregory the Great wrote that while marriage was not technically sinful, the “carnal pleasure” that husband and wife derived from sex “cannot under any circumstances be without blame.” This quote means the wife a husband are not allowed to enjoy they sex they receive from each other. That should be true if you’re really in love, but back then your parents chose who you could marry. It was an unfair exchange. In conclusion, I think the 1800 was all an unfair time, people should have been controlled like that, they should have had a say so. If my parents had to choose who I could marry, I would get married at all, you should be with someone you love not how by force.

Bad grade for texting

In the article “F in grammar? Maybe it’s your phone's fault" by Alessandra Potenza talks about how the way we text, tweet, and even Facebook can be causes of our low grammar grades. More than 2,000 applications that were submitted by students have "misspelling, miss punctuations, spacing mistakes” that are found in text messaging, not in formal writing. To Babineau, this shows “laziness and lack of care” about their writing. The problem increasing in the age, texting, tweeting and Facebook. English teachers, college admission officers and employers are finding a lot more grammar, and writing mistakes then they used to. Amanda Lennart explains as you write more “slang term” or “shortcut “or “abbreviations”, don’t be surprised if it shows in your school work. Most common mistakes that are found are “words at the beginning of sentences and personal names are rarely capitalized, numbers are being used instead of letters and “u” often substitutes for “you.” Some people blames technology not only for proofreading blunders-spell check can give writers a false sense that all their mistakes will be caught. On the other hand, O’Connor argues that “Evolving grammar are natural and that teenagers don’t make mistakes because of technology “she goes on by saying “the mistakes are just more visible.” Teachers sees technology as the enemy “You’re not going to get from an "A” to an “F” because you had spelling or grammar issues.” People don’t judge you on your writing. In conclusion, I think that technology and social networks are not the cause of the miss spelling in our writing. Half of the free writings we do are supposed to be our own type of writing but not from all occasions like job applications etc. Some people just don’t know when to turn it on and off when needed.

Another chance

In the article "Give Lance another chance? " by many illustraters talks about a man name Lance Armstrong made history but on his way to the top he cheated but it took decades to find the proof from there suspence.
Lance Armstrong achieve a lot - recovering from cancer and then breaking records in the cycleing world. what caused him to achieve so much, staroids which doctors found after running test for his ycancer. Lance fall will be merely a celebrity scandal, and there's little good at that. Lance asks for forgiveness for the wrong he's taken but " there's to many reasons to question his apology. "Lance has had a decade of second chances to come clean but he was too arrogant, to caught up in his God-like statue. Armstrong would like to race again but racing us not truly an option anyway " he's 42 , forget about it " Jeff Pearlman says
in conclusion i think the people should give him another chance because everybody cheats he made so much history, he deserve another chance we all people here like cut him a break he he 's over coming cancer , he's probably stressing enough.

America's New Chapter

In the article "The New Faces Of America" by Veronica Majerol talks about how the increase of Hispanic's and Latino's would become a problem to America in our future years. Estimates say by time 2050, the increase of Hispanic's and Latino's will double, "Transformation from a mostly white baby-boomer culture to the more globalized than country that we are becoming." The Census Buneau consider Hispanic's an ethnicity, not a race. The country' s changing demographics have also put on the two major political parties to address issues of concern to minorities especially Latino's. will this effect the world we will live in, in the future? The number of mixed-race marriages -and, as a result, mixed-race children- is on the rise. in conclusion , i think the enviroment will change because the Latino's will have more say so over us because they are a bigger group.

Civil War in Syria

In the article "Civil War in Syria Raises Questions About When To Intervene" by Ja'anai Delaney talks about how Syria is going at about being free from Basher al-Assad but need the help from the United states.
"A lot of [people are trying to figure out what could be an effective intervention that would cause death an suffering", said U.S Secretary of state Hilary Clinton. Syria wants the united states to intervene with the war but "chemical and biological weapons that they say would only be used against foreign invasions not its own people."The U.S will only intervene if he uses chemical weapons. Assad has blamed foreign actors and terrorists for the initial uprising , and continued violence

The United States have been involved in a lot of things, that didn't work out to well but i think they should help Syria people because there people just like us and if it was flipped where's tho we was in trouble, we would want them to help us.

More playing, less teaching

In this article "All work and no play: Why your kids are more anxious, depressed" by Esther Entin tells how she think kids nowadays are not having enough play and in their life and its effecting there after-life as adults. Since 1955… children free play has been continually declining at least partly because adults have exerted ever-increasing control over children’s activities,” Peter Gray said.  The parents restricted their own children’s outdoor play because of safety concerns, a fact echoed in other surveys where parents mentioned child predators, road traffic and bullies. There are 5 ways play benefits kids. One way is that playing gives children a chance to find and develop a connection to their own self-identity, meaning that the child gets a chance to find their inner self and learn more about themselves. A second ways is that the child learns how to make decisions, solve problems, exert self-control, and follow rules, meaning help them develop an independent theme with their self, learn how to get out of problems without help from an adult. A third way is children learn how to handle their emotion, including anger and fear, meaning learning as sense of self control. A forth way is it can help kids make friends and learn to get along with each other as equals, meaning learning a friendship with their pears. The last way is playing is a source of happiness, meaning we are not here to go to college, life is a fun and play is a part of fun. In conclusion, I think play should become more of a thing to kids because life to me is short and kids love to have fun. Being independent is something that life in the future you going to have to face, a pear is not going to always be there to help, you have to do things on your own.

less schools means more money

In his article "Philadelphia superintendent identifies schools he intends to close" by Kristen A. Graham tells how the superintendent wants to shut down school to save money and raise our academics. 22 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 11 high schools are being shut down.7, 000 students and 2,000 staff will be affected due to this move. $300 million dollars are borrowed a year on schools just paying bills and paychecks for the staff. "If we don't take action now, we actually have no money to spend" said Hite. $28 million dollars are being saved by shutting down these 27 schools. Saving on utility bills, paying staff and there able to sell these building for to other properties. Some officials ""believe very strong that our public-school system is an institution worth saving." K-8 schools use space more effectively, and parents told the districts they prefer that model. Some schools like Strawberry Mansion high school students will be the third time switching schools in three years. There environment has been changed frequently every year. Mayor Nutter thinks “it will mean safer, better-equipped schools capable of meeting the educational needs of the schoolchildren.” Conclusion I think that combining this school together would make more violence and the superintendence are being selfish and greeting thinking about money. Switching schools can lead to more transportation for students and that’s paying more money for Tran’s passes so either way it’s a lose, lose situation.
